On his own and having fled from the massacre by sheer luck, Timmy comes across his former friend now turned into a twisted foe, Jimmy Valmer.

Section 2
A corrupted Nathan shouts out Mimsy (who has arrived to help Timmy)’s name. During the second half of section 2, Nathan snaps, repeatedly telling Mimsy to shut up, and berating him for his 'stupidity'. Nathan tries to mutate, but only mutates his voice. Despite semi-mutating, Nathan is freed.
